The term ‘Fabricator’ works perfectly for Jackie; she works with fabrics and found materials to create stories for her ‘little people’. The idea came about, and when her neighbour left some fence post wire out for the scrap man, she decided to use it to create 3 dimensional sculptures.
As much as possible she uses bits and pieces that would get thrown away; old maps are perfect props for walkers, broken paintbrushes are used by artists, a broken bicycle mudguard becomes a great slide.
As much as the emphasis is on upcycling, the most important thing is that they make people smile.
