The Cabin of Makers

Established in 2022, The Cabin of Makers is home to artisanal crafts in the heart of Belper, showcasing and selling creative works from a collective of Derbyshire artists and makers.
Our 13-strong (a maker’s dozen!) core ‘Cabineers’ work across an exciting breadth of disciplines, including woodworking, textiles, jewellery, illustration, printmaking, paper-cuts, ceramics and photography.
Our makers run the shop as a vibrant collective, and are often on hand to talk about their work and processes. In 2024, we’re joined by a rolling programme of monthly ‘pop-up’ exhibitors; helping to ensure the shop continues to surprise and inspire our shoppers and visitors from Belper and beyond!
