About:
I’m an artist and creative upholsterer inspired by the materials and methods of traditional upholstery.
I reupholster old chairs and love to create something unusual, often with subtle layers of meaning. That may be through combining bold colours and tactile materials, creating a botanical digital print or by using upholstery webbing as an exuberant decorative feature on a chair back or a cushion (it’s usually hidden away doing the structural work).
I’ve always loved the structure and secrets of the bare chair frame so now I’m creating more sculptural work based around frames and definitely embracing the weird!
