We haven’t had an Arts Trail since May 2019 and we’ve missed it so much but now we are all systems go on the Belper Arts Trail 2021 which will take place over the August Bank Holiday, 29th and 30th.

We have deliberately limited the scale of things so that we can sensibly space artists out better despite the proposed relaxation of rules. We prefer to keep people as safe as possible, but we will still have around 100 fabulous artists and makers all eager to see you all again.

There will be food stalls, entertainment and live music on the Memorial Gardens. We will have a “poetry area” and expect lots of pirate shenanigans for the little ones - and the not so little ones too.
Let’s welcome back artists and get Belper buzzing again.

We really look forward to welcoming everyone both new and returning visitors for a great Bank Holiday weekend full of arty goodness.

Parking
There are quite a few car parks around Belper. The Coppice car park on the Market Place is the only free one so it fills up fairly quickly. You can find exactly where the car parks are in Belper on Parkopedia.

Trail Guides
Your trail guide this year will cost £5 and this is essentially your trail ticket.
They will be available from around the town in shops and cafes before the arts trail but on the days of the trail will only be available from either the Memorial Gardens, Strutts or the Market Place.

About the trail

The Arts Trail began in 2014 when two artists wanted to help strengthen the local artistic community and to find interesting and creative solutions to the lack of dedicated space in Belper for artists to exhibit.
