Originally from Derbyshire, now living in Scotland since 2020. Susan loves to be outside, in nature, looking at the sunrise, sunset or night sky. Aberdeenshire has proved to be the perfect location with an abundance of stunning skies. Much of Susan’s inspiration comes from the colours and textures in the sky and her obsession with reflections on water.
Photography is always her starting point and she is constantly capturing images to work from. Susan paints onto fabric, adds machine stitching to enhance colours and create texture and then uses heat tools to seal or manipulate. Her results are tactile and vibrant artworks, greetings cards and unique jewellery.
