Heritage Bobbin Lace items made for today – these are in form of individually handmade jewellery items and housewares- all lace is handmade & design by myself.
I’m Suzanne Plamping of SP Creative Crafts, I am lace maker and tutor based in Nottinghamshire.
Bobbin lace is a traditional textile made by braiding and twisting lengths of thread, which are wound on bobbins and worked on a pillow with pins. This is a Heritage Craft has a long history dating back to at least 1500’s where the first written evidence can be found.
In addition to Bobbin Lace I have a love of Mix Media Techniques and Photography, Block Printing and most textiles. I enjoy mixing these skills together.
