My paintings are inspired by the emotional connection I feel with the landscape, exploring curiosity, memory, and shared experiences as a migrant and a woman. Walking under new skies, alone or with my children, informs my work, which conveys mood and emotion rather than literal representations.
My process is intuitive and spontaneous, often starting with a walk, sketch, or photograph. Each piece evolves organically, sometimes built over months through layering, or completed in one sitting using Alla Prima.
Using Cold Wax Medium with oil paint adds depth and a velvety matte finish, reflecting my soul through process and emotion.
