Calligrapher
I have studied Chinese and Japanese Calligraphy for over 20 years. My work has won prizes at prestigious national competitions in Japan and been displayed in venues such as the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum.
After spending many years living, working, and studying in Japan, I returned to the United Kingdom in late 2023 to undertake a PhD course in Japanese art history. I hope to share what I have learned about East Asian calligraphy with as many people as possible. As someone born and raised in Derbyshire, it will be a real treat to be able do that in Belper!
