About:
An artist printmaker living in Cromford and SW France, I have home studios in both places.
Specialising in hand-printed linocuts, monoprints plus occasional screen printing, I am inspired by wildlife, the natural world, rural settings and traditional agriculture. Using mark making and pattern, I try to capture the textures found in local flora and fauna, and the rhythms of the landscape. My references come from up-close experience and observation of the land and the plants and creatures it nurtures.
I find equal joy in small things and open landscapes, in walking and cycling, and finding secret nooks and wild places.
