About:
Jude Shore is a contemporary textile artist and fine felt maker based in the Peak District. Her work is inspired by forms and textures in the natural world; she loves pebbles and the sea but takes much of her inspiration from the flora and fauna, colours and ever changing light found in the wide open spaces of the Peak District.
Jude uses felt making, together with hand and free drawn machine embroidery techniques, to create unique surfaces from which she makes wall hung art works, as well as a range of individually designed, sculptural felted vessels and accessories.
