The inspiration and focus of my photography for many years has been the landscape of Derbyshire and the Peak District. Recently I began to explore urban spaces and produced a series of pictures featuring people and architecture in cities such as Birmingham and London. I found photos of street scenes are often more effective in black and white, shot in bright sunlight to increase the contrast.
I am based in Derby and my first exhibition was at a gallery called Artsmith Live in the city in 2015. Since then I have had several shows in the UK and in 2017 had an exhibition in Kamakura, Japan.
