Howie is self-taught. His camera work, and that of using computers help bring together his style. Even Photoshop was self-taught, he says; By not using the manual or guides and just working at his own pace and learning Photoshop this way I found unique ways rather than what everyone would pick up from the manual". Howie has also developed a unique overlay technique to his work.
Howie's work consists of different projects that inspire him from life and whatever he see's like, "The falling of a feather onto a flowing river, art, creativity and colour are everywhere.
