Dennis Brown was a Derbyshire-born, internationally commended photographer whose images were featured in exhibitions in the 80s and 90s across the globe; including Hong Kong, Vienna, Toronto and South Normanton.
Many of these prints haven’t been displayed for over three decades and are unique in that most have a handwritten description on the rear of the mount listing the technical settings used in the shot: shutter speed, aperture size, film type etc.
The collection curated for the 2025 Belper Arts Trail is based on black and white scenes from around the Peak District of Derbyshire and Staffordshire. Dimensions are generally 40x50 cm for the mount and 25x40 cm for the print.
