About:
Each piece is a unique, original cyanotype on archival paper finished with liquid gold leaf.
I have either grown or collected the plant material myself, selecting plants that lend themselves to the cyanotype process and highlighting their natural features in liquid gold leaf. Through the process of growing, collecting, pressing and painting,
I develop a deep connection to the plants and how and where they grow, so that each piece becomes a homage to that plant. Some pieces are in the herbarium style which include the botanical name of the plant, others focus on the natural patterns of the plant.
