The Bridge Hill House overlooks the world heritage site, and is sited on the former Strutt estate land. Many of the existing majestic trees, cedars, copper beech and yew, planted by the Strutt family frame many of the views from the house.
Within the grounds, and in their private ownership, is the Strutt estate ice house and vaulted chambers, built as service facilities for the original mansion. The structures are listed, being of national importance.
