Since leaving the corporate world behind she has pursued painting and drawing with vigour spending time with a number of artists and groups to refine her approaches and techniques.
She has developed a particular focus on landscapes in watercolour with no limit to the subject matter – a country scene or a vibrant and populated cityscape. Her aim is always to create a composition that is relevant, tells a story and provides harmony and a sense of serenity – factors which are embodied in her life.
Her process involves the use of keen observation, photography and initial sketches as a precursor to painting. Her style is both representational and, at times, loose depending on the subject matter, underpinned by a sense of connectivity.
