Last year, along with his wife Gillie, he started Ingrained, preserving the most striking pieces of wood and turning them into attractive furniture and ornaments for the home.
We process all of our logs by hand and, instead of just thinking ‘it’s a shame to burn that one’, Gillie and I began saving the really characterful wood and creating things with it, our aim is to preserve the wood in its most natural form.
We have been creating our stunning pieces for a year now and have made and sold furniture and ornaments ranging from coffee tables to candle holders, food boards to clocks, as well as popular seasonal designs.
We also work with local blacksmith, Little Eaton Smithy, to add bespoke metalwork.
If there’s something particular that you’d like, we also take commissions.
